Alain Coulombe

One of the most commanding singers of his generation, French-Canadian bass Alain Coulombe is a favourite of international critics and audiences alike. Recently, he was Der Doktor in Wozzeck at La Scala, Geronte di Ravoir in Manon Lescaut at the Dutch National Opera, Il Commendatore in Don Giovanni at the Salzburg Festival and Bishop Taché in Louis Riel at the Canadian Opera Company. Other highlights include Clark Gable in the world premiere of Waiting for Miss Monroe at the Dutch National Opera, Phinée in Lully’s Persée for EuroArts, as well as Masetto in the Rhombus Media film Don Giovanni Unmasked.
