Salary range: $42,000 – $50,000

In person / work from home: Productions will require in-person, other work negotiable for days in office per week

We are a core team of 7 individuals, who most recently produced the world premiere of R.U.R. A Torrent of Light, a robot opera examining the threats and possibilities of AI. Breakdown of responsibilities

Producing (40%)

  • Producing: Produce Tapestry Opera’s self-produced studio concerts and productions and assist with producing mainstage productions
    • Prepare, coordinate, communicate, and execute self-produced concerts, workshops and small productions
    • Assist in the preparation, coordination, communication, and execution of mainstage productions
    • Maintain and share production information on Google Drive
    • Organize and be onsite for load-in, set-up, strike, and load out 
    • Liaise and coordinate with relevant staff and stakeholders on a case-by-case basis  (ie. Marketing and Communications for show photographer or video)

Artistic Administration (40%)

  • Artistic Administration: Facilitate smooth operations of the artistic portfolio 
    • Be the first and most frequent point of contact for artists/production stakeholders and facilitate their interactions with the company and specifically with the Artistic Director
    • Be in person for key rehearsals and performances
    • Process contracts for all artists (CAEA/ADC/PACT/TMA) and ensure paperwork is filed
    • Track, communicate, and execute weekly priorities in coordination with, and for the Artistic Director 
    • Respond to emails and other inquiries to the Artistic Director on behalf of the Artistic department as applicable
    • Ensure calendar is up-to-date, including responding to email meeting requests and scheduling on behalf of the AD
    • Contribute to and maintain the Artistic Department work-back
    • Auditions/Applications:

Office Management (20%) 

  • Facilities Management
    • Day-to-day management of office space
      • Managing issues if/when they come up:
        • phone/internet 
        • office supplies 
        • cleaning company
        • Assisting with prep for special meetings (ie board, commissioned stakeholders)
        • Mail, courier, shipping
        • kitchenette, shared spaces
