Stephanie Tritchew, mezzo-soprano
Mezzo-soprano Stephanie Tritchew recently completed two years as an Emerging Artist at Calgary Opera, and is a two-time alumna of the Gerdine Young Artist Program at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, where she sang for productions of Madama Butterfly, The Grapes of Wrath, and the world premiere of Shalimar the Clown. During her time at Calgary Opera, she sang Madeleine Audebert (Silent Night), Mercedes (Carmen), The Child (L’enfant et les sortileges)and Lucienne (Die tote Stadt), and this season she made her debut with Edmonton Opera singing Third Maid in Elektra. Stephanie is a member of The Bicycle Opera Project and appeared as the Union Organizer in their recent production of Sweat. This season, she joins the Yulanda M. Faris young artist program at Vancouver Opera where she will cover Olga in Eugene Onegin. She is excited to be making her Tapestry Opera debut!
