Teiya Kasahara, coloratura soprano
A “magnetic performer” (Opera Canada) and multi-disciplinary artist and creator Teiya Kasahara has been seen on stages in North America and Europe, including the Queen of the Night/The Magic Flute. In 2017 Kasahara premiered their first ever one-person opera-inspired theatre piece The Queen In Me directed by Andrea Donaldson, (Emerging Creators Unit — Buddies in Bad Times Theatre) which is currently in development as an Amplified Opera production and Theatre Gargantua SideStream Cycle. Recent performances include Donna Elvira/Don Giovanni (Music Niagara and Westben Arts Festival), and with Raging Asian Women Taiko Drummers. Follow @teiyakasahara.
