It all started in Tapestry Briefs
Over the last two decades, Tapestry Opera has premiered hundreds of opera shorts in our Tapestry Briefs series. Ranging from sketch comedy, to absurdism, to powerful drama, this series showcases bold creativity from some of Canada’s and the world’s most imaginative composers and librettists.
Inspired by the world of film shorts, this series unearths the best gems and brings them to light through new recordings and archival production videos. The Tapestry Briefs collection is taken from the best works growing out of the flagship Composer-Librettist Laboratory (LIBLAB).
