ANNA CHATTERTON

Anna Chatterton is a librettist, playwright and actor. Her operas have been produced by the Canadian Opera Company (Toronto), Center for Contemporary Opera (NYC), Saratoga Opera (NY), World Stage Harbourfront Centre (Toronto), Scottish Opera, Tapestry Music Theatre (Toronto), The California Institute of the Arts, Third Eye Theatre (Chicago), Toronto Masque Theatre and Opera Maine. Her plays have been produced by the Shaw Festival, Tarragon Theatre, Nightwood Theatre, Theatre Centre, Passe Muraille Theatre, and Alberta Theatre Projects. Her opera Sweat was made into a film, which recently premiered at the Kingston Film Festival. She has been nominated for multiple Dora Awards, two Governor-General Literary Awards for Drama, and two K. M. Hunter Awards for Drama.
