Máiri Demings

Máiri Demings is a mezzo-soprano hailing from Springhill, Nova Scotia. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Acadia University and a Masters of Music from the University of Western Ontario. Solo contexts in which Máiri has appeared include Good Mess Opera Theatre: A Good Haunting Volume 2, Tapestry Opera Songbook XII, Slow Rise Music: Fair Use, Acadia Performing Arts Series Tom Regan Memorial Concert, Shattering the Silence New Music Festival, and Parrsboro’s Classics by the Bay. She is currently based in Toronto, where she frequently appears in productions with Voicebox: Opera in Concert and Toronto Operetta Theatre. Máiri is also half of new contemporary duo mezzopiano alongside pianist Zain Solinski.
