Performance

Nuha Yousuf is a Waterloo-based interdisciplinary artist pursuing a Master of Music in Collaboration, Curation, and Creative Performance at Wilfrid Laurier University. With a background in free improvisation, new music, and interdisciplinary creation, she is passionate about making music inclusive and accessible to all.

Recent highlights include performing her NUMUS 2025 winning curation, Of Mothers and Daughters, sound designing and performing live music for Before I Die (Mada Theatre), and singing in The Rain Remembers its Life as Sea (Naakita f.k., CAFKA’s Understory). This summer, Nuha partnered with Conservation Halton to create a site-specific chamber piece at Crawford Lake. Partnering with top lake scientists, they used lake core data to create structured improvisations and compositions reflecting the history of the lake. Last year, Nuha performed and co-created “Entropy”, an improvised devised space opera (Laurier Improvisation Convergence Ensemble), and performed Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods (Opera Laurier). Nuha is dedicated to using music to foster connection, amplify voices, and inspire change.
