Roslyn Black

Horn player Roslyn Black is grateful to be a product of her excellent Saskatchewan public school music program! She holds degrees from the University of Victoria and the New England Conservatory of Music. She has performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony, Opéra Comique (Paris), and the Atlanta Opera. Roslyn spent 4 wild and wonderful years with the New World Symphony in Miami before relocating to Toronto in 2010, where she maintains a busy performing schedule and is adjunct faculty at Havergal College. A dedicated Toronto Concert Orchestra member, Roslyn also regularly appears with the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra, Niagara Symphony, Kingston Symphony and various Mirvish musical productions. She is a founding member and Co-Director of the avant-garde Toronto ensemble euphonia, and as a backing artist, has appeared on various pop albums, including “The Last Rider” by Ron Sexsmith and “Evin on Earth” by Mike Evin.
