The memories of back-to-back daring productions of R.U.R: A Torrent of Light and Gould’s Wall in the summer of 2022 will always stay with me. I love how many Tapestry shows have made me think, “This feels so different and like they are pushing the boundary of what we call opera,” even before I started working for Tapestry.
I grew up singing in choirs – hello, Canadian Children’s Opera Company – and played the trumpet in high school. Is it time to pick it up again? (Yes.)
I’m looking forward to cycling to work and seeing colleagues in person! Weekly! It will be amazing. Also, being close to The MoMo House in Yorkville and Le Tigre in Rosedale.
Don’t make me choose! I love Sondheim, and The Marriage of Figaro is my favourite Mozart opera. The story never gets old.
