Tristan Zaba

Tristan Zaba is a Toronto-based sound technician, producer, composer, vocalist, and poet
breaking down boundaries between his practices. As technician and producer Tristan has
worked for everyone from electronic composers to rock bands to large ensembles, in contexts
ranging from studio recordings to live shows in concert halls, warehouses, and bars. As a
composer Tristan’s works have been featured at festivals including Source Song Festival,
Orford Musique, and Winnipeg New Music Fest. He has won honours including the SOCAN
Foundation’s Choral Award for Young Composers, held multiple ensemble residencies, and
holds a Bachelor’s degree in composition from the University of Manitoba and Master’s degree
in the same subject from the University of Toronto. Tristan is excited to work with Tapestry
Opera again for a second year as Production Manager for Box Concerts.
