Where Do I Go?
A bold new short film
Performed by Morgan-Paige Melbourne | Choreography created in collaboration with Natasha Poon Woo and Alyssa Martin of Rock Bottom Movement
Pianist Morgan-Paige Melbourne and contemporary dancer Natasha Poon Woo share their masterful talents in a bold new short film Where Do I Go?
Contemporary dance, spoken word and masterful piano intertwine in this breathtaking short.
Morgan-Paige Melbourne creates a lush, dramatic world from her unique fusion of contemporary classical, pop, and electronic, told through original music and lyrics and brought to life on Tapestry’s Bösenorfer Imperial Grand Piano. Contemporary dancer and Dora Award nominee Natasha Poon Woo weaves her beautiful rhythmic talent with Melbourne’s evocative music, sharing a story of two parallel journeys as the musician and a dancer search for freedom in their authentic voices.
Rock Bottom Movement’s Artistic Director and Choreographer Alyssa Martin brings her absurdist, interdisciplinary dance-theatre aesthetic to this premiere work, in collaboration with director Michael Hidetoshi Mori and videographer Taylor Long.
At only 25, Morgan-Paige Melbourne has made her mark on the classical music world with a radical politic and exquisite talent as performer and creator. We can’t wait to share this special show created right here in the city by incredible Torontonian artists.
