Bardhyl Gjevori
Performance
Bardhyl was born in Albania where he completed his musical studies at the Academy of Arts in Tirana. Upon graduation, he was appointed Principal Horn at the Symphonic Orchestra of Radio TV, the leading Albanian orchestra. He was also the professor of Horn and Chamber Music at the Academy. As a soloist, he has toured extensively all over Europe.
In 2001 he emigrated to Canada with his wife and two daughters. In 2002 he was offered the position of 3d horn of the COC orchestra, which is the position he currently holds.
As a freelance musician, Bardhyl has performed with many of the leading art organizations of Ontario, such as TSO, National Ballet, Esprit Orchestra, New Music Concert, and Hamilton Philharmonic to name a few.
Bardhyl has a passion for teaching and enjoys dedicating time to teaching band in elementary schools across Toronto.
