Robert Conquer

Performance

Trombonist Robert Conquer is quickly establishing himself as one of Canada’s top young musicians. As an orchestral musician, he has performed in concert with the Canadian Opera Company, the National Arts Centre and the Philadelphia Orchestras. As a soloist, Robert was the 1st prize winner of the Canada Council for the Arts – Michael Measures prize in 2022, performing Nino Rota’s Concerto for Trombone on tour across Canada. He won 1st prize in the 2020 Concours OSM, wherein he also received numerous additional prizes. Robert plans to graduate from the Curtis Institute of Music in 2023 and is currently the Acting Principal Trombone of the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra.
