Matilde Böcher

Composer Matilde Böcher is a graduate in composition from Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen and in fine arts from Kunsthögskolan in Malmö – Lund Universitet. She is a sound artist and works with music in connection with installation, performance, opera, theatre and video. Several of her works have been nominated and awarded special prizes for renewing the music drama genre, including LOL – Laughing Out Lonely (2023), Messiah (2019), and Overload (2025). Matilde Böcher has received the great honour of a large working grant from the Danish Arts Foundation as well as several other grants for her work.
