About Raising the Baton
Join us for Raising the Baton, an extraordinary evening at Koerner Hall celebrating the future of classical music in Canada.
Now in its sixth year, Tapestry Opera’s ground-breaking Women in Musical Leadership (WML) fellowship is transforming the podium, building gender parity, and shaping the next generation of musical leadership from coast to coast.
Experience a dynamic 90-minute program featuring a fast-paced, 60-minute musical program interspersed with live storytelling that showcases the exceptional artistry and national reach of this historic program.
All proceeds from the evening directly support and endow the ongoing operations of the Women in Musical Leadership program, providing emerging female and non-binary conductors with vital three-year apprenticeships, mentorship, and mainstage placements with major orchestras and opera companies across Canada.
