Andrea Grant

Performance

Andrea Grant is a full time member of the music staff of University of Toronto Opera, the Head of Music Staff for Wexford Festival Opera, in Wexford, Ireland, and a member of the music staff of Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and the Canadian Opera Company. She has also worked with Opera Omaha, Calgary Opera, Opera Atelier, Tapestry Opera, The Banff Centre, Soundstreams, Queen of Puddings, Mirvish Productions, Highlands Opera Studio, and Opera Academy in Busseto, Italy. She is active as a freelance collaborative pianist and vocal coach, and enjoys a variety of experiences encompassing recital, opera and musical theatre. Andrea has been involved in the development and production of many contemporary works, including the world premiere of Jack Perla’s “Shalimar the Clown”, the north American premiere of Unsuk Chin’s “Alice in Wonderland”, and the revival of Tobias Picker’s “Emmeline” and John Adams’ “The Death of Klinghoffer”, all with Opera Theatre of

Saint Louis. Andrea received her BMus (Hons) in Piano Performance from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Master of Music degree in Collaborative Piano from the University of Western Ontario, and a Diploma in Operatic Performance from the University of Toronto.
