Benjamin Kersey

Performance

Benjamin Kersey is a French Canadian collaborative pianist and music director best known for his stylistic versatility. Recent credits include Follies in Concert (Koerner Hall/Royal Conservatory of Music) and Maid and Master: The Massey Murder (U of T Opera). He recently premiered a new solo work by Canadian composer Michael Nunes, and is set to premiere a chamber work by the same composer this month. Benjamin is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano at the University of Toronto under the tutelage of Steven Philcox, and has received the ARTES scholarship, a prestigious award for Franco-Ontarian artists.

He is thrilled to be participating in New Opera 101 and Songbook XI and to be working on contemporary Canadian music, which he will continue to champion throughout his burgeoning career.
