Performance

Courtenay works frequently as an actor, educator and physical theatre performer. His work has taken him around the world touring for 4 years as a clown with Cirque du Soleil (Dralion). He’s also toured frequently to Europe and Asia with the wordless, solo, clown show – The Pianist. He was last seen with Tapestry in the CanStage co-production of The Overcoat – A Musical Tailoring. He’s worked across the country, with stops including Bard on the Beach, Axis Mime, The Stratford Festival, Zero Gravity Circus, Theatre Passe Muraille, and the Grand, Caravan Farm, and Common Boots Theatres. Recent credits include: La Bête (Talk is Free), Liars at a Funeral (Thousand Islands Playhouse), the 39 Steps (County Stage). He’s been shot at, lied to and insulted in performances on: SuitsThe Boys, The Umbrella Academy, Frankie Drake and Designated Survivor. Next up, he’ll be playing a handful of characters in the Foster Festival summer hit, Screwball Comedy.
