Elvina Raharja

Performance

Elvina Raharja (she/they) is an Indonesian interdisciplinary artist working within dance, film, and fashion in Toronto, ON. Their artistic ethos is informed by their immigrant lived experiences and mindfulness practices. Elvina finds solace in collaborative play, grooves, raw emotions, and shared experiences on the dance floor. She has trained with Galen Hooks, Shameka Blake (Artist in Motion), Andrew “Pyro” Chung and Mariano “Glizzi” Abarca (Footnotes Academy), Raoul Wilke, Ming-Bo Lam, and more to expand their knowledge in street dance styles and contemporary. Their stage performances include Sanctuary Song (Tapestry Opera), Bodies of Nature (KINAJ), Phantasmagoria (Near Far Projects, Fringe Festival), and the pack (Mikaela Demers, Hamilton). Elvina strives to break barriers on what theatre, dance, and dance theatre can be.
