Joel Klein

Recently born-again tenor (previously baritone) Joel Klein has sung roles for Edmonton Opera, Vancouver Opera, and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s New Works series, notably performing versions of the Barber of Seville (variously Dr. Bartolo and Figaro) more than 180 times. Switching primarily to Queer and cabaret performance in 2011, Joel developed the character of Maria Toilette nearly 6 years ago and hasn’t looked back since. This presentation of Cocktales represents his tenor debut.
