Vanessa is an alumnus of Calgary Opera’s Emerging Artist Development Program and Vancouver Opera’s Yulanda M. Faris Young Artist Program. Vanessa’s 2017/2018 season consists of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 (Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra), Josephine in HMS Pinafore (Edmonton Opera) and Nellie Forbush in South Pacific (Calgary Opera). Other recent appearances include Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro (Vancouver Opera and Calgary Opera), Sandman/Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel (Vancouver Opera), Lucia in The Rape of Lucretia (Banff Centre/Against the Grain), Cathy in The Last Five Years (Toronto Summer Music Festival) and Frasquita in Carmen (Edmonton Opera). www.vanessaoudereimerink.com
